Competition Terms and Conditions
1. Promoter
The promoter of this competition is The Careers Department, located at 323 Riley Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010.
2. Competition Period
The competition commences on 09:00am 1 April 2024 and ends at 5:00pm 31st October 2024 (the "Competition Period"). Entries received after this time will not be considered.
3. Eligibility
3.1. Entry is open to all students currently enrolled in a registered educational institution in Australia.
3.2. Participants must provide a valid email address to be eligible to enter.
3.3. Employees of the Promoter and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
4. How to Enter
4.1. To enter, participants must complete the survey available at https://form.typeform.com/to/MYa7jxRf during the Competition Period.
4.2. Participants must provide their email address at the end of the survey to be eligible.
4.3. Only one entry per person is permitted.
5. Prize
5.1. There will be one (1) prize consisting of a $500 EFTPOS gift card.
5.2. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable for cash or any other goods or services.
6. Winner Selection and Notification
6.1. The winner will be selected by a random draw conducted by the Promoter at 323 Riley Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010 on 1 November 2024.
6.2. The winner will be notified by email within 7 days of the draw and then given further details on how to receive their EFTPOS Gift Card.
6.3. The winner must claim their prize within 14 days of being notified. If the prize is not claimed within this time, the Promoter reserves the right to redraw the prize. The unclaimed prize draw will take place within one week of the unclaimed prize. The Promotor will conduct such further draws as necessary to distribute any unclaimed prizes.
7. Publicity
7.1. By entering this competition, participants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, and entry for promotional and marketing purposes without further compensation.
8. Privacy
8.1. The Promoter collects personal information to conduct the competition and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, and prize suppliers.
8.2. Entry is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter will also use and handle personal data as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at https://www.thecareersdepartment.com/privacy.
9. General Conditions
9.1. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the competition at any time.
9.2. The Promoter is not responsible for any technical malfunction or failure, including but not limited to any faulty computer, network, or server issues.
9.3. By entering the competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
10. Liability
10.1. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees, and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special, or consequential, arising in any way out of the competition.
11. Governing Law
11.1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales and participants submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
