Does our school need to have a subscription to The Careers Department?
Short answer, no. However, we do have limited positions within our tour schedule and so preference will be given to our partner schools.
For partner schools, it is also a great way to promote the program to students, train staff, and introduce us to your parents - at no extra cost to your subscription!

Your timings don't suit our school, how flexible are these dates?
Scheduling our tours is one giant game of tetris, as we try to allocate multiple schools in regions as closely together as we can.
Due to this, there is sometimes not a whole lot of flexibility in when we will be able to visit. In previous years, some schools will even combine with a neighbouring school for the same workshop session! You are welcome to coordinate this.
How long is the workshop?
The content of each workshop is designed to go for 45 - 60 mins. If you are unable to allocate this amount of time however, we can definitely do an 'express' version of the workshops where students will still get all of the benefit, just with a little bit more haste!
Can we have more than one workshop?
Yes! Due to the scale of the tour and wanting reach as many students and schools as we can with our free workshops, we are limiting it to one free workshop per school. Additional workshops will incur a fee.
Do students need a device?
It is not essential but it is preferred, and a great opportunity to get your students registered on the program and ready to go. Our bread and butter is our digital program and interactive content. For those without a device, we still have lots of activities to do in the magazines we bring! All they need is a pen or pencil.
Who are the facilitators?
All of our workshop faciliators are experienced at working with students from years 7 through to 12 and have the ability to tailor the content accordingly. They are young, engaging and full of industry experience and stories.
Our team all have their WWCC and are double vaccinated!
How many students can attend?
We are experience with running workshops with groups from 8 to 800 students, so if you would like to combine multiple year groups into the one session we are happy to facilitate this!
If I register, am I guaranteed a workshop?
While we will do our absolute best to try and include all registered schools on our tour, it upsets us to say that we may not be able to guarantee a visit to every school. We may be able to organise to come back at a later date though!
